As a Senior Advanced Outsource Manager at Certain Affinity, you will drive our strategy with external outsource studios and coordinate with them to deliver high-quality art assets on time and on budget. You’ll need to have extensive game development experience in game art, as well as strong leadership and organizational skills.  
Responsibilities
  • Define and own the end-to-end art outsourcing process for a AAA project, including vendor sourcing, onboarding, relationship management, and long-term partnerships.
  • Manage external art production for a wide range of asset types, including concept art, environments, characters, props, vehicles, VFX, and animation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between external partners and internal art, design, and production teams.
  • Work closely with internal leads and the art director to define asset requirements, technical specifications, style guidelines, and quality benchmarks.
  • Build and maintain clear documentation for outsourcing pipelines, workflows, and best practices.
  • Coordinate reviews, feedback, iteration, and final approval of outsourced assets.
  • Track schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure assets are delivered on time and to quality.
  • Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and quality issues, and drive solutions in collaboration with partners and internal teams.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as an Art Outsourcing Manager, Art Producer, or similar role within the games industry, ideally on AAA titles.
  • Strong understanding of modern game art pipelines, including world building, modeling, texturing, rigging, and animation.
  • Recent demonstrated expertise in at least one area of game art content.
  • Demonstrated experience working with external studios and distributed teams.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, managing the production of art assets from multiple external partners.
  • High level of visual quality awareness and the ability to give clear, actionable feedback.
  • Familiarity with game engines and toolsets like Unity and Unreal.
Extra Credit
  • Shipped one or more AAA titles in the last 3 years
  • Experience with Unreal 5
  • Experience mentoring other artists
